Pianist Tran Thai Linh completed his Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance at the Vietnam National Academy of Music in 2006, graduated with the highest rank in his class under the guidance of Professor People’s Artist Dr. Tran Thu Ha. In 2009, Linh received a scholarship from the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training and the University of Queensland Music Achievement Scholarship from St. Leo’s College which enabled him to pursue his Master of Music degree as part of the Australian-Vietnam Collaborative Master of Music project between The University of Queensland and the Vietnam National Academy of Music. At the University of Queensland, he studied under the esteemed piano pedagogue Max Olding.

Mr. Linh has appeared as a soloist with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra, University of Queensland Symphony Orchestra, among others. As a chamber musician, Linh participated in the Kirishima Music Festival in Japan in 2004 and was a member of the Hanoi Student Quintet that won first prize in the 7th Asian Symphonic Band Competition in Thailand in 2005. As an artist, Linh brings remarkable interpretive insight to his performances, and demonstrates a technical assurance and expressive maturity in his approach.
