Chika Murata has been making a deep effort toward chamber music. As a chamber musician she has collaborated with many prestigious artists and groups including Rainer Honeck, Daniel Ottensamer, Karl-Heinz Schütz, Leipziger Quartett, Apollon Musagete Quartet, DSO in Berliner Philharmonie, Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, among others. She completed her master's degree at the Tokyo National University of Arts and Music (Geidai) and continued her studies with Martin Hughes and Avo Kouyoumdjian at the Vienna National University of Music. She was later influenced by Johannes Meissl and Kiyodhi Okayama of the Haydn Institute in Vienna while working there. 

During her Vienna time she was awarded the Special Prize at the Vienna Haydn International Chamber Music Competition and was a finalist of the Schubert - Moderne International Competition. Chika was not only active in recording, concertizing and training younger generations of artists at Geidai, but she is also focus in expanding her activities in the musical field. She is currently the Music Director of Ginza Habsburg Veilchen, Artistic Director of Japan -Vietnam Cultural Association and Production Director of MMCJ- Music Masters Course Japan.
